WeScoutLA

Welcome to WeScoutLA, a movie locations and scouting website founded by Mike Flores, of MovieShotsLA, and Lindsay Blake, of IAmNotAStalker. Movie buff Mike Flores has been scouting movies and television filming sites for over fifteen years. Mike’s passion for finding locations began almost two decades ago in his living room. While sitting in front of his television set, Mike discovered he had a knack for being able to pinpoint locations featured in almost every single film he watched. It wasn’t long before this talent turned into a slight obsession. Further fueling Mike’s passion was his job as a local radio station promoter while in his early twenties. While out and about promoting the station all over the Los Angeles area, Mike would often run into productions being filmed on location. Seeing actual filming take place live and in person and watching sets being dressed up right before his very eyes fascinated Mike and he started taking photographs. Mike founded his movie locations website, MovieShotsLA, in 2006, after discovering some other location websites, whose authors often published incorrect material. After correcting these authors about numerous locations, Mike decided it was time to take matters into his own hands and start a website of his own. Thus, MovieShotsLA was born. Now Mike has partnered up with actress Lindsay Blake, who runs a movie locations blog which details her daily adventures in what she calls “stalking” movie locations and celebrity hangouts. Lindsay moved to L.A. in February of 2000 to pursue her dream of becoming a professional actress. Eight years later she is still pounding the pavement, but has found a creative outlet in penning her daily blog. Lindsay’s obsession with movie locations began at a young age, when her movie buff mother would make the whole family sit through a film’s ending credits in the hope that producers would list where filming took place. Years later, this curiosity wore off on Lindsay to the point where it became one of her passions. In Lindsay’s mind, seeing locations in person brings her one step closer to her dreams of someday starring on the big screen. Lindsay and Mike have discovered that when it comes to stalking locations, two heads are definitely better than one, and together the two of them have become unstoppable! Using clues, like background landmarks and street signs, found while watching movies and television shows, and sometimes resorting to good old fashioned detective work, Lindsay and Mike are able to pinpoint the location of sites from their favorite productions. Later, venturing out to see these locations in person, they snap photographs and share their information, via their websites, with fellow stalkers and fans alike.
